I have seen Glenn and Gene multiple times. I can definitely say that Hoopples is the place to see him. At Hoopples he is free and you can tell he is most comfortable. When he gets up on the speakers and shreds a 3 minute guitar riff featuring the restroom sign used as a slide he displays his genius.

He occasionally does go off on a tirade involving fat people, women, drugs, sinners etc., but that is part of the experience. When he is on he is ON. Glenn Schwartz along with Link Wray are two of the greatest underrated, virtually unknown guitarists to ever play. Both of them are innovators and belong mentioned alongside all the guitar heroes. They both have a maniacal side to accompany their genius as well.
